The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will be responsible for assisting the management team to deliver a wide range of capital and maintenance projects with a focus on budgetary control and management. You will also work closely with the finance team to develop and monitor both operational and capital budgets and spend.

Main Duties

  • Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts

  • Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation

  • Managing and valuing variations

  • Assist in the production of pre-contract take-off, interim valuations and final accounts.

  • Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts

  • Support the Projects Manager and Projects Director with the logistical, technical and commercial management of the projects to meet the overall business objectives

  • Assist in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of operational and capital annual budgets.

  • Support the project team in the procurement, delivery, and handover of projects to achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks that may adversely impact project delivery or adversely affect airport operations through the project/programme lifecycle.

  • Positively influence key stakeholders (both internal & external) associated with projects.

  • Construction/ Quantity Surveying degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience

  • Experience of managing all aspects of cost control in construction projects

  • Experience of managing contractors/ consultants and managing budgets

  • Proven supervisory/ people management experience[‘
