An expanding Fitout Contractor in North Dublin has a new opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team. We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team, working on a range of high-profile projects in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful commercial delivery of projects, managing costs, contracts, procurement, and client relationships from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver strong commercial outcomes through accurate cost management and financial reporting.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including valuations, payments, performance monitoring, and final account negotiations.
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers in line with project procurement programmes.
- Measure and value completed works, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements.
- Monitor project costs against budgets, identifying risks, forecasting expenditure, and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with clients on commercial matters, including variations, claims, and additional payment agreements.
- Identify and prepare contractual claims and supporting documentation where appropriate.
- Produce and manage project cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting key deadlines.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within the construction industry.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Candidates with an HND/HNC and significant relevant experience will also be considered.
- A valid CSCS or CSR card.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
