We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our expanding team and organisation. Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is a not‑for‑profit charity that provides procurement services for the education sector. We offer a range of services including 80+ compliant frameworks, many approved by the Department for Education (DfE), and consultancy that supports every aspect of an institution’s procurement journey. CPC’s mission is to give back to the education sector, with over £2 million reinvested each year into projects supporting SEND learners, well‑being and absenteeism across schools, colleges, academies and universities nationwide.
What’s the role?
Full‑time or part‑time, based in Bournemouth and Dorset and surrounding areas. Preference should be noted when applying. Regular travel to client premises required. The role involves working onsite directly with educational clients to provide comprehensive procurement and tendering services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement process for a variety of contract categories, including facilities, estates, finance, curriculum, ICT and other projects.
- Embed best practice, efficiency and effectiveness in procurement processes and decisions.
- Ensure compliance with UK procurement regulations and legislation.
- Achieve savings for clients through proactive and comprehensive service and advice.
- Offer all‑levels procurement support and manage relationships between clients and suppliers.
- Report to the Procurement Manager.
Person Specification
- Procurement experience within the public sector or education sector.
- Knowledge of the Public Sector Procurement Act 2023.
- Strong organisational skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to travel and work onsite with clients.
