Crescent Medical, part of the Crescent Pharmaceutical Group, is expanding our manufacturing team in Bolton and we are looking for dedicated Production Operatives to support the production of essential medicines for the UK pharmaceutical market. Start date would be immediate and the role will be permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well-established organisation where your work directly contributes to patient care across the country.
As a Production Operative, you will play a key part in the safe and efficient manufacture and packaging of finished pharmaceutical products. Working as part of a production-line team, you will follow cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure quality, compliance and safety at all times. You will work closely with Operatives, Line Leaders and Supervisors, so strong teamwork, attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Read and understand all relevant SOPs as instructed by Production Managers, Supervisors or Line Leaders
- Assemble raw materials and packaging components for production
- Dispense materials accurately and safely
- Manufacture bulk product following approved procedures
- Set up, operate and monitor machinery and equipment used in manufacturing and packing
- Clean machinery, equipment and production areas after use
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in line with cGMP
- Support a clean, safe and compliant working environment
The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience in a production, manufacturing or assembly environment (pharmaceutical or food industry experience is highly desirable)
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn new processes
