About the Department
Our client, a leading music and entertainments business, are on a mission to invent and build state-of-the-art AI/ML tools that empower music artists and music-industry professionals. Driving the full research and development lifecycle (from exploratory research to prototyping to large-scale product deployment), their work spans content understanding, content augmentation, creative tools, search, recommendation systems, and more. The Role
We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to help build an intelligent video search platform that enables precise, flexible discovery across an extensive audiovisual catalogue. In this role, you will architect and deliver both the front-end experience and back-end infrastructure for our AI-powered video discovery application. You will work closely with ML engineers, UI designers, and product owners to create a next-generation content discovery experience for our partners and internal creative teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications, APIs, and data systems.
- Optimise services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them effectively.
- Build on state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure.
- Work with cross-functional partners to deliver, operate, and maintain products.
- Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and dynamic team culture.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or software engineer.
- Solid back-end experience (e.g., Node.js or Python).
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices.
- Hands-on experience with serverless architectures and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Familiarity with video streaming, media asset management, or content indexing systems.
- Strong proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows, and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux environments and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented, reusable code.
- Strong advocate for software engineering best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Interest in building AI-driven technology.
Nice-to-Have
- Understanding of search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, vector databases).
- Knowledge of data security, media rights management, authentication & authorization.
- Experience working with video or audio media content.
