About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be a CBT therapist within an interdisciplinary pain team. You will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for individuals, groups, and via eHealth. You may supervise other members of the team. You will use your knowledge, experience, and skills to advise on psychological aspects of pain management to other health professionals and to advance knowledge and practice of psychological theories and principles. You will develop and promote a positive image and culture and foster productive relationships with key stakeholders.

You will be registered with BABCP as a CBT Therapist and have experience in a physical health setting delivering individual and group interventions. Knowledge of current evidence around psychological approaches to pain management is desired, with a particular interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Joining Cora Health pain services comes at an exciting time as we grow our interdisciplinary pain services across the UK. The Coventry service provides a community Persistent Pain service with a single point of access for NHS patients, enabling a seamless patient journey within a large, dynamic multidisciplinary team. The service design supports clinicians to work together to deliver evidence-based care and inter-disciplinary learning.

The successful candidate will deliver face-to-face individual assessments and therapy sessions as well as group Pain Management Programme sessions with colleagues. Some clinical work may be remote via telephone, video consultations, and digital platforms.

Requirements:

  • Registration with BABCP as a CBT Therapist.
  • Experience in a physical health setting delivering individual and group interventions.
  • Preferably knowledge of the current evidence base for psychological approaches to pain management and interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
