Location: Glastonbury, Somerset Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Salary: Competitive Bonus Scheme The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator/Designer to join the Crendon Timber Engineering team. You will be responsible for producing detailed, accurate designs for our products to meet customer/business requirements. We are looking for an individual with a natural ability to build rapport with customers and technical knowledge and experience in Truss and/or Posi-Joist floor design. Your responsibilities will include: Interpret customer requirements and estimator quotations to provide efficient and professional designs, ensuring targets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled. Prepare formal RFIs as required. Liaise with customers and provide a knowledgeable service. Liaise with colleagues to ensure designs takes into consideration costs, targets and manufacturing capacity & capability. Skills Required Good understanding of I.T (use of Microsoft Office 365 suite). Confident written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with colleagues and customers. Experience with CAD based programs desirable but not essential as full training will be provided on bespoke design package (MiTek PAMIR). Able to work as part of a small team but have self-motivation to work alone to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and providing excellent customer service. What do we offer?
