We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join our client's busy packaging team based in Ely. This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to secure a long-term position with a growing and supportive business.

Rotating Weekly Shifts (39 hours per week):

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 2:00pm | Friday, 5:00am – 12:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Friday, 12:00pm – 7:00pm

Overtime:

  • Saturday (6:00am – 12:00pm): Time and a Half
  • Sunday (6:00am – 12:00pm): Double Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
  • Follow production specifications and work instructions accurately.
  • Ensure materials are available and production runs efficiently.
  • Assist with machine set-ups and production changeovers.
  • Stack, prepare, and move pallets to the required standard.
  • Support cleaning and basic maintenance activities.
  • Report any mechanical faults or production issues promptly.
  • Minimise waste and use resources efficiently.
  • Contribute to quality improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Work positively and effectively as part of the production team.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience (essential).
  • Machine operating experience is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Strong team-working skills.
  • Own transport is essential due to location and shift patterns.
