Crem Recruitment is working on behalf of a small, well-established logistics business based in Elmswell, Suffolk. This is a tight-knit operation with a practical, no-nonsense approach to general haulage, now looking to add two reliable Class 1 Drivers to support continued demand.
This is proper driving work. No gimmicks, no unnecessary complexity, just consistent routes, well-maintained vehicles and a straightforward setup.
The role:
- Class 1 general haulage across England and Wales
- Back-loaded work, keeping mileage efficient
- Monday to Friday operation, no weekend work
- 50 hours per week, typically starting from 4am until finish
- Occasional nights out, paid at £25 per night via Snap account
Key responsibilities:
- Carrying out Class 1 trunking and general haulage deliveries
- Completing vehicle checks and maintaining road-worthy standards
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Communicating clearly with the transport team and customers
- Representing the business professionally on the road and on site
