We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of a long-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for engineering excellence. The company specialises in the manufacture of optical and electromechanical equipment and instrumentation supplied to customers worldwide.
Salary: 38,000 Per Annum
Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern
- Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm
The Role:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines including Mazak machining centres
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines including Matsuura machining centres
- Creating, proving out, editing, and optimising CNC programs
- Producing complex components from first-off through to production
- Selecting tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for machining operations
- Troubleshooting machining, tooling, and programming issues
- Supporting junior machinists and operators where required
- Contributing to continuous improvement and production efficiency
- Maintaining machines and ensuring Health and Safety compliance
