We're currently recruiting Technical Operators for a well-established food manufacturing company based near Saffron Walden. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a temp-to-perm position with a growing business, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidates.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous factory or manufacturing experience who are looking to develop their technical skills in a modern production environment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • 45 paid hours per week (all breaks are paid)

The Role

As a Technical Operator, you'll be responsible for operating production and packing machinery while ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Operating production and packing equipment.
  • Following manufacturing recipes and work instructions.
  • Machine operation and monitoring production processes.
  • Mixing powders and ingredients.
  • Packing finished products.
  • Completing production, quality and manufacturing records.
  • Carrying out routine equipment cleaning and basic autonomous maintenance.
  • Identifying and reporting equipment faults.
  • Working to HACCP, GMP and Health & Safety standards.
  • Assisting with quality inspections and checks.
  • Using problem-solving techniques to improve processes and minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous factory or manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Experience within food production is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience operating machinery within a production environment.
  • Knowledge of packing processes and mixing ingredients/powders.
  • QA/QC experience would be advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions.
  • Reliable, hardworking and keen to secure a long-term opportunity. xgikmsk
