Quality Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to join our growing client based just outside of Newmarket (CB8). This is a hands‑on role that will focus on product testing, test process development, and maintaining high‑quality standards across our operations. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring our products meet customer expectations and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee product testing, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve test processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
• Maintain and complete all test documentation and quality paperwork to support traceability and audits.
• Investigate and replicate external customer issues, identifying root causes and supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage and resolve external quality complaints, liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Support cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Production, Supply Chain) in identifying quality improvement opportunities.
• Participate in internal audits, calibration programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Quality Engineer, Test Engineer, or similar quality‑focused role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of product testing methodologies, root cause analysis, and problem‑solving tools.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external customers.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Technical or engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) desirable.

This is a new role that will support the standardisation of testing across all departments and gives a fantastic opportunity to develop processes that will be rolled out across multiple locations across the UK.
