Crem Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a key business on the outskirts of Haverhill for a Late Shift Warehouse Superuser to join their busy warehouse team. This is a hands-on supervisory role, perfect for someone with strong warehouse experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will act as the on-floor expert for systems, processes, and standards, supporting daily operations and helping maintain service, productivity, and accuracy, especially during peak periods. Shift Pattern: 4pm - 1am, Thurs - Sunday.
Duties:
- Act as first point of contact for system or process issues during your shift.
- Resolve blockers quickly to keep work flowing, escalating when necessary.
- Support training for new and existing staff to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Assist management in achieving timely and efficient receipt and dispatch of orders.
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) is used safely, including daily checks, defect reporting, and training.
- Lead by example, supporting floor control, communication, and adherence to standards.
- Monitor accuracy, productivity, and quality on the warehouse floor, intervening early when standards slip.
- Provide coaching and support to colleagues, reinforcing correct methods and SOPs.
- Assist with performance monitoring, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Arrive early to support setup and preparation for the shift.
- Resolve issues quickly with minimal disruption.
- Maintain consistent standards across shifts.
- Support improved flow, accuracy, and service levels.
- Reduce reliance on managers for day-to-day issues.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and a βclean as you goβ approach.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong operational experience in a warehouse environment.
- Confident user of warehouse management systems (WMS) with strong problem-solving skills.
- Calm under pressure, particularly during busy periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to positively influence peers.
- Respected by colleagues and able to lead by example.
