We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative on behalf of a long-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for engineering excellence.

Pay & Hours

  • Pay rate: £14.30 per hour
  • Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible working)
  • Start times: Flexible between 6:00am, with finish times typically no later than 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble products in line with company work instructions and engineering drawings
  • Carry out soldering and crimping of cable and PCB assemblies
  • Ensure all work meets required quality and production standards
  • Maintain accurate records using company works order systems
  • Inspect, maintain, and report issues with tools and equipment
  • Identify and resolve assembly or process issues where possible
  • Support the introduction of new products into production
  • Work in line with Health & Safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities
  • Cross-train across different assembly areas as required
  • Support team output to meet production targets and deadlines

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an assembly, production, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with soldering or electrical/mechanical assembly (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
