CREM Recruitment is delighted to be partnered with a large, established client in Bury St Edmunds. We are looking for a warehouse operative with reach truck & counterbalance forklift experience. This position is available for an immediate start.
Duties:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently around the warehouse.
- You will be expected to perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and support overall warehouse operations.
- Duties required may change depending on the needs of the business. Flexibility to jump in and assist is a must.
Hours of work: 12pm - 8pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay: £14.31 per hour.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, as well as materials handling best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid forklift operator certification is desirable; additional certifications are a plus.
