Crem Recruitment are recruiting for a QC Technician to join them on a temporary to permanent basis. Our client is a well-established name within the food manufacturing industry. This role is based just outside of Saffron Walden (CB10)

Hours, Pay and benefits:
* £12.80 per hour
* Full time – Monday to Thursday – 8am -5pm, Friday 7am – 4pm
* Temporary role with potential for permanent or, straight to permanent for the right candidate
* Immediate start
* Free onsite parking
* Weekly pay
Duties will include:
* Perform routine checks on in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
* Verify product QAS, packaging integrity, and labelling accuracy.
* Observe and assess production line operations to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety requirements.
* Complete quality control records, post-cleaning inspections and line clearance inspections.
* Ensure accuracy of production records.
* Detect and report any deviations from product specifications or standard procedures.
* Assist in preparation for audits (internal, third-party, regulatory).
* Follow HACCP principles and report any food safety hazards immediately
* Ensure QC equipment is properly maintained, used according to protocols
* Assist in training activities on quality procedures and hygiene practices as needed
Skills and Experience required:
* Experience within a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role, ideally within the food manufacturing industry
* HACCP Certification or Certified, Formal Food Safety Training
* Experience and Training in Allergen Control and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
* Demonstrable experience in preparing for and participating in internal or external audits
* Practical knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA) procedures
