We are recruiting for a skilled individual to join a busy workshop, producing high-quality precision-engineered components.
Pay: £13.50 per hour Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines.
- Manufacture precision-engineered components from engineering drawings.
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Select the appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
- Carry out routine machine adjustments and basic machine maintenance.
- Deburr and finish machined components to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Report faults, defects, or quality concerns promptly.
- Support continuous improvement within the workshop.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist.
- Strong knowledge of manual lathes and milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
