We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading chemical manufacturing organisation, for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join their regional distribution centre in Duxford. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products across the warehouse and production areas.
Hours: 2-shift rotation (Earlies 6:00am–2:00pm / Lates 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: £14.18 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Offload and put away deliveries of raw materials
- Pick and deliver materials to support production and packing departments
- Collect and store finished products from production and packing areas
- Pick and pack orders accurately to meet dispatch schedules
- Maintain stock control and support inventory management
- Safely operate forklift trucks and palletisers (approx. 70% of role involves operating this equipment)
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
- Actively participate in health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid RTITB licences – ideally Counterbalance and Reach (VNA experience helpful but not essential)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment; experience with chemicals is advantageous
- Good numeracy and English skills
- Reliable, efficient, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Reasonable IT skills; experience with warehouse management systems, particularly SAP, is a plus
