The Role As a Residential Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters while providing an efficient, professional and client-focused service throughout every stage of the transaction.
Your responsibilities will include
Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
- Handling sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of title and new build transactions.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation.
- Examining title deeds and carrying out title investigations.
- Preparing and submitting registration documents to Registers of Scotland.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, estate agents and other third parties.
- Preparing settlement statements and completion documentation.
- Ensuring transactions progress efficiently while meeting agreed timescales.
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance throughout each transaction.
- Providing clear legal guidance and excellent client care throughout the conveyancing process. Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience working as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal within a Scottish law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Scottish residential conveyancing procedures.
- Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and excellent drafting skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads within a busy environment.
