Location: Based at our nursery in Addlestone, Surrey
We are seeking an experienced Garden Designer / Creative Director to lead the creative direction of our bespoke garden design and landscaping projects. This senior role is primarily focused on soft landscaping and planting design for luxury residential clients, working closely with our design, installation, and directors to deliver exceptional outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the creative vision for bespoke garden and landscape projects, with a strong emphasis on planting design and soft landscaping
- Produce concept designs, detailed drawings, and technical specifications
- Oversee and manage design and installation administration staff and resources
- Manage client relationships throughout the design and delivery process
- Contribute to project management, including programming, budgeting, and cost planning
- Collaborate closely with the Installation Director to ensure the highest standards of quality and execution
- Undertake international travel when required for plant and product selection, tagging, and sourcing
- Brand development and creative deployment across company projects
- Management of design-focused projects, both digitally and on site
- Assist in the curation and development of wholesale plant lines, tracking trends and introducing new concepts
- Provide design input across wider company initiatives and collaborations
You will be a confident, creative leader with great communication skills and a deep understanding of planting design with the ability to translate vision into technically robust, buildable landscapes.
Requirements- Excellent plant knowledge
- Strong computer-based design skills, including CAD and/or Vectorworks
- Proven experience designing and delivering bespoke gardens for bespoke clients
- Proficiency in Adobe suites and Microsoft Office
- Background in other design-led disciplines
- Experience with Lumion or other visualisation tools
- Salary: depending on experience
