Role Details: As a Vehicle Valet, you are to ensure the cleanliness of all commercial delivery vehicles is maintained in line with company standards. You will need to maintain the transport yard housekeeping and report any irregularities. Some responsibilities of the role include:
- Follow vehicle cleaning schedules and vehicle parking plans.
- Ensure excellent vehicle standards are maintained by cleaning vehicles in line with the depot schedule.
- Maintain company vehicle standards internally and externally to include: Removing rubbish and cleaning the cab, pressure washing wagon interiors including the chiller & frozen chambers, pressure wash whole exterior of the vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle wash area is kept clean and tidy.
- Re-fuel vehicles (Derv, Gas, Oil & Ad-Blue) as appropriate.
- Park all vehicles in accordance with the designated plans (re: freezer plug-in points).
- Promote the company and do everything possible to enhance the company’s image through appearance and behaviour.
- Maintain vehicle appearance in line with company policies.
- Ensure that vehicles are driven with due care and attention.
- Read, understand, and adhere to SSWs at all times.
The Ideal Candidate: It is essential that you have the following:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Approachable and adaptable individual with a can-do attitude.
- High attention to detail and the ability to ensure vehicle and product standards are maintained.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to understand company standards and maintain these.
- Knowledge of vehicle fuelling and types of fuel.
- A desire to follow processes in place and contribute ideas for improvement.
Desirable:
- Experience using a jet washer and ideally cleaning and maintaining heavy goods vehicles.
- Experience with Class 2 Vehicles.
Work Schedule: 30 hours per week over 5 days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 11:00am-5:30pm Saturday - 8:00am-1:30pm
