We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Development Manager to take ownership of a defined geographical territory. You will be responsible for growing sales, increasing margins, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales and cash margin targets across your territory (£1.5m‑£2.5m).
- Identify, win, and retain profitable new business opportunities.
- Grow existing customer accounts through strong relationship management.
- Deliver a consistently excellent customer experience.
- Plan and manage your territory to align with company sales strategy.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and prospect base.
- Collaborate with internal teams (telesales, customer service, trading and suppliers).
- Drive sales campaigns and identify opportunities to increase customer spend.
- Maintain accurate reporting and CRM updates.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, including food safety, data security and ESG commitment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a field‑based sales or Business Development role.
- Track record of winning new business and growing accounts.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good IT, numeracy and administrative skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a drive to exceed expectations.
- Full UK driving licence.
