About the role:
Being a Driver at Creed Foodservice is much more than meeting each delivery on time. In all of our driving roles you will have the opportunity to get to know your regular customers and deliver a personalised service. Many of our Drivers follow regular routes several days per week and build friendships with the customers that they deliver to, often finding their Coffee or Tea, just the way that they like it when they arrive to deliver to regular routes. Our drivers receive recognition for their positive attitude, friendly jokes, and willingness to help both from our customers and other teams with some being recognised and receiving awards from our Chief Executive and Managing Director. Being a Driver at Creed isnt just about ensuring each delivery reaches our customers on time, you are able to build genuine relationships with the Chefs and other staff in a variety of Schools, Care Homes, Pubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Leisure facilities and more and have the autonomy to go the extra mile to deliver excellent service for them because we #BelieveInMore.
Everyone in our business understands the importance of our Drivers and we make sure that every new starter in our business has the opportunity to spend a day being a Drivers Mate as part of their induction, so they fully understand the valuable part that you play, delivering excellent service to our customers and making sure that our customers can prepare delicious meals for theirs.
As well as being a valued member of the team and providing great service to our customers you will make multiple drops in a day, delivering temperature-controlled products (both frozen and refrigerated) so you will need to carry out temperature checks and ensure that you take the necessary breaks required to avoid tacho infringements. Your safety is important to us, so we want you to follow all legislative requirements, including drivers hours and to drive with due care and attention. You will also need to complete all of the necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion (VC40, Temperature Records, Debrief), Conduct all daily checks, resolve any issues and report any accidents that may occur and ensure that the vehicle (and where applicable fridge and freezer) are fuelled.
