About the role: In the role of Financial Accountant you will analyse and interpret the financial statements, assist the business support teams in understanding and managing their costs and drive the business forwards from a commercial, system, process and people engagement perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of the balance sheet for the company, including fixed asset, lease schedules, and loan accounts and for support for the statutory accounts.
- Manage the production of the Statutory Accounts and the accompanying Notes to the Accounts.
- Responsible for the reporting and budgeting of revenue and costs.
- Ensure that all financial and business reports are accurate and timely, to enable the business to make informed decisions to deliver KPIs.
- Generate ideas for efficiencies, to improve reporting and timescales, and assist in the delivery of financial and IT process/system projects.
- Present period, quarterly and year to date reporting with accompanying analyses, including KPI reports and commentary.
- Prepare the weekly reports for detailed review in weekly meeting.
- Processing of authorised, automated bank payments.
- Preparation and review of the daily and long-term cash-flow.
- Calculation and reporting of customer rebates.
- Lead the financial modelling and analysis to support forecasting, budgets and business plans.
- Audit and Tax work (quarterly/yearly) to ensure the audit and corporation tax is timely and compliant.
- Conduct financial analysis and deliver process and system improvement projects as required.
- Ensure that the Finance Department is at the heart of the business.
