We are looking for a motivated Investment Analyst to join our multi-asset team, which evaluates and allocates to external investment managers. Our team follows an evidence-based research process with a strong emphasis on systematic implementation and analytical rigour. This role offers an excellent entry point for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build expertise in manager research and multi-asset investing.
Skills & Requirements
- A degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as finance, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and statistical concepts.
- Clear, structured writing skills and the ability to present in a professional manner.
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to challenge assumptions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Python, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with FactSet.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, though strong graduates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the evaluation and ongoing monitoring of external managers across traditional and alternative asset classes.
- Analyse performance, portfolio characteristics, risk exposures, and the drivers of manager returns.
- Contribute to an evidence-based selection process by gathering, cleaning, and interpreting data.
- Prepare clear written research notes, recommendations, and presentations for investment committees and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with improving the research process, including the development of analytical tools used for investment analysis and monitoring.
- Providing ad-hoc assistance to relationship managers and members of the investment team.
