Since the year 2000, we are proud to have helped hundreds of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, including complex medical and behavioural needs, to join a loving family home where they can thrive.
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to assist a young male, who is a wheelchair user, with his morning personal care routine. Duties will include:
- Supporting with showering and dressing
- Helping him get ready for school
- Using a hoist
Requirements for the role:
- You will have previous experience caring for children or young adults with additional needs and be committed to providing outstanding care.
- You must be IT literate with a good standard of written communication as you will be required to submit, via our online systems, concise and accurate reports on work with the children.
- You must be a UK resident with the right to live and work in the UK.
Hours: 06.30 – 07.30 Monday – Friday during school term time, with additional hours available at weekends and during school holidays.
Pay: £13.50 per hour (pay rise pending) for direct client time & travelling time to and from home to work, in addition to 0.45p per mile travelled for all journeys. This rate also applies to:
- Travel to/from the place to undertake the work
- Your supervision time with your SSW (generally an hour)
- Training (generally an hour for online training courses)
