Reporting Product Owner

We are looking to expand the Internal Analytics team, based in the Cardiff Bay office.

The Team

The Internal Analytics team is a small subgroup within the Finance and Operations team at Creditsafe Group. We are primarily commercial analysts responsible for producing insights to support strategic decision-making for senior management. Recently, our role has expanded to include serving as Business Owners, collaborating with the Business Intelligence team to produce and manage Power BI reports used across 16 countries, aiming to provide a single source of truth for performance and customer insights.

Job Profile

We seek a data-literate individual to join as a Reporting Product Owner. The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure DevOps, managing the full sprint lifecycle—from creating ADOs, managing and prioritizing backlogs, to sprint planning and working with Data Engineers to ensure timely, accurate delivery. The candidate will also manage communications regarding new releases and bug fixes with relevant entities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with operations to gather requirements and translate non-technical input into technical specifications for the BI team.
2. Write detailed requirements, epics, and user stories to guide development.
3. Serve as the main contact for data and access queries across the organization.
4. Work with stakeholders to prioritize data initiatives and communicate progress.
5. Manage backlogs and create sprints in Azure DevOps through planning sessions with Data Engineering and BI teams.
6. Test and provide feedback on data sets and reports to ensure user-friendly, accurate data models and reports.
7. Contribute to front-end development of Power BI reports using Semantic Models when needed.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Experience developing Power BI models and reports.
• Understanding of data warehousing, reporting tools, and analytics methodologies; familiarity with Kimball methodology is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE and F&O is a bonus but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with effective workload management.
