We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join the API team, driving the product direction. This is a highly technical role, the ideal candidate will have worked in a technical role previously moving into Product or have a passion for development and understand the structure of APIs.

Who We Are

Creditsafe is the world’s most used provider of business credit reports with coverage of more than 430 million businesses worldwide. We deliver actionable intelligence powered by machine learning, AI, and connected data to help companies grow, thrive, and identify opportunities. Founded in 1997, we have offices in 16 countries serving more than 110,000 customers.

About The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for our flagship Connect API. You will own the roadmap to develop our APIs and will need to make important prioritisation decisions to meet current and future customer needs (including readiness for AI agents and LLM-based consumption). Key to the role will be working with the API Architect and development team to ensure we are building the right thing at the right time. You will work closely with engineering, product, marketing, sales and support teams and customers across the globe to ensure smooth product development, go-to-market and day-to-day customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion the customer perspective, gathering feedback to inform API product decisions.
  • Own and prioritize the product roadmap to maximize business value and reduce delivery friction.
  • Partner with the API Architect to provide a clear, evolving product vision to align API development with customer and market needs.
  • Manage the development backlog, translating requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, sales, and leadership to align priorities.
  • Ensure releases deliver customer value and are supported by effective go-to-market activities.
  • Develop deep expertise in your product area and support knowledge sharing.
  • Work with marketing to create go-to-market collateral and enablement materials.
  • Drive API-first thinking across the wider product portfolio to prevent rework and architectural drift.
  • Own API lifecycle management — versioning strategy, deprecation policy, and legacy endpoint retirement.
  • Oversee how new product capabilities are exposed through the API surface.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an API product manager.
  • Track record delivering REST APIs and executing strategic roadmaps.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum product development practices.
  • Ability to align and influence multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in translating customer needs into clear product requirements and user stories (covering both functional and non-functional aspects).
  • Outcome-oriented mindset with innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Critical thinking with the ability to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
  • Encourages healthy debate and curiosity within teams to reach optimal solutions.
  • Experience migrating customers from legacy APIs.
  • Passion for technology and data-driven business decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • API design fluency.
  • REST principles, OpenAPI/Swagger, pagination, auth patterns, error handling.
  • API observability including usage analytics, rate limiting, deprecation telemetry.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary.
  • Company Laptop supplied.
  • Bonus Scheme.
  • 25 Days Annual Leave (plus bank holidays).
  • Hybrid working model.
