We are currently looking for a M365 Engineer to work in the Cardiff Bay office. You will be expected to attend the office 50% of the working week, to align with our hybrid working policy.

We are seeking a highly skilled M365 Engineer with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure and M365 services, including the Enterprise Mobility + Security (EM+S) suite. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of technology-focused IT engineers dedicated to supporting, maintaining, developing, and deploying solutions that enhance End User Compute environments. As an organisation embracing a cloud-first approach, it’s a pivotal time to join us and contribute to our evolving modern architecture. As a key member of our team, you will help drive the organisation’s shift towards more modern, secure, and compliant practices. You’ll need substantial commercial experience in implementing, maintaining, and securing M365 core applications and services such as Entra ID, Purview, Security suite, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, CoPilot, Power Platform, and its automation capabilities. Even if you do not possess experience in every listed area, a strong desire to learn and master the M365 suite is essential. Your primary goal will be to improve the end user experience across the organisation by delivering high-quality, secure solutions, ensuring smooth service transitions, and carefully documenting and meeting all technical and operational requirements. You will work closely with a variety of teams—including Cyber Security—to drive security enhancements and uphold the integrity of our SaaS platforms.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with management of all M365 services (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power-BI, Power Automate, Intune etc.)
- Escalate issues to vendors and manage tickets to resolution.
- Maintain & improve the security posture of the M365 platform and other SaaS solutions.
- Automate repetitive processes.
- Provide metrics and operational support.
- Input to the solutions architecture and technical design for future deployments.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of current M365 tools.
- Understand the Microsoft roadmap and its impact on our business.
- Provide 3rd line/deep-dive technical support where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively and engage with IT and non-IT functions.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience and proficiency in configuring, delivering and supporting M365 services and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of core IT concepts and standards, including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network security protocols.
- Active Directory/Entra ID Administration experience.
- Familiarity with cloud native tooling in Azure.
- Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently, with minimal supervision.
- Easy to work with, open, honest, and a good sense of humour.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Degree in Computer Science / related subject, or relevant commercial experience.
Desirable:
- Microsoft 365 Certified.
- Utilizing Gen AI.
- MSP background.
- Experience in managing Microsoft EM+S suite.
- System testing experience.
