Are you a part or fully qualified accountant seeking an exciting new opportunity with a dynamic and ambitious company? We are currently looking for a Commercial Accountant. In this role within the Finance team, you will work cross-functionally, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained in financial transactions and reporting, and provide timely and appropriate management information to the business. This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Commercial Accountant responsibilities include:

  • Provide commercial support to the Commercial Team such as sales reporting and costings
  • Profitability analysis and costings of products and customer accounts
  • Weekly cash flow forecasting and banking transactions
  • Month end overhead analysis for various cost centres
  • Manage and calculate commodity-linked tracker prices for the commercial team
  • Fixed Asset management and reporting
  • Preparation of audit and tax information
  • Various statutory reporting/surveys
  • Monthly revaluation of finished goods stock
  • Providing back-up cover for other roles within the department as required e.g. reception cover

Commercial Accountant requirements include:

  • Full or part qualified accountant
  • Experienced in accounting systems, Microsoft Office packages and SAP
  • Strong numeracy ability and communication skills
  • Proactive with a high level of accuracy and commitment
  • Structured, resilient approach to work with ability to use initiative to solve problems
  • Ability to prioritise, manage own workload, work within time constraints and ensure targets achieved in fast-moving environment subject to change
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
