The predicted salary is between 80000 - 100000 £ per year.

Types of Jobs - Corporate the trader will be expected to trade our other books in support if required.

Products will include financial senior and subordinated bonds.

Within the parameters of the overall business strategy of CA CIB and other agreed policies, the candidate is empowered to implement the strategy and business plans within the business line, as decided by the Head of Credit Secondary Trading – Flow Credit.

Key responsibilities Market making for European financial sector and subordinated bonds, providing two‑way pricing to clients while managing inventory risk.

Execute all transactions within the bank's risk management procedures and promptly enter each trade into Front Office Systems.

Formulate trading strategy aligned to market opportunities, stay continuously informed of economic and financial developments, and translate into actionable views for trading decisions and sales advice.

Ensure product pricing compensates adequately for principal risk and balance sheet usage.

Provide technical guidance to junior staff as required.

Daily reporting of P give informal updates to the Head of Secondary Credit Flow Trading Europe.

Strictly comply with the desk’s mandate and obtain formal sign‑off in the MRL tool.

Work with N+1 Manager to establish risk parameters and then manage and hedge the Credit Secondary Financials portfolio on an intra‑ and inter‑day basis.

Adhere to all credit and market risk limits; maintain clear delegation and documentation across trading books.

Identify and escalates legal, operational and reputational risks appropriately.

Develop and maintain relationships with market peers, represent the firm on industry or regulatory committees if requested, and ensure immediate escalation of counterparty disputes.

Maintain strong communication with Sales, convey risk limits and product approvals, and keep management informed of material impacts.

Coordinate closely with global overseas offices.

Additional responsibilities Support the Head of Credit Secondary Trading – Flow Credit in implementing business strategy.

Requirements Experience in financial product related trading and risk management activities.

Experience working within a team and managing a trading book when applicable.

IT literate.

Thorough knowledge of financial derivatives, market liquidity and volatility, pricing and trading/hedging strategies.

Strong numerical, analytical and spreadsheet skills.

University degree in a mathematical or scientific area (BSc or equivalent) or A-levels followed by market‑relevant work experience.
