Overview
This role is based in the Global Markets Division. The Trading Business Manager (BM) is in charge of business development missions, as part of the Trading COO Office. The objectives include the strategic expansion of the fixed income and equity derivatives trading activities for the desks EUR Rates, FX & Non G3 Rates, Non Linear (rates and equities), and Secondary Credit. The BM is mainly in charge of transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead priority initiatives for product development, as part of the medium term plan of the Groupe.
- Support sales-trading commercial franchise development plans.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of a specific, challenged part of the value chain, in order to propose reorganisation actions, liaising with partner functions.
- Run diagnosis for specific operational risk reduction remediation as a follow-up of incidents on one of the desks\\\’ value chain.
- Timely complete small regulatory adjustment taskforces.
- Interact with the ecosystem of partner support & control functions for trading in partnership with BM of the specific product lines.
Some of the other key responsibilities are:
- Lead priority initiatives to develop GMT product scope. Pilot a project portfolio with high stakes for trading, plan & analyse the target scope, propose a target organisation and necessary means, formalise a global plan with intermediary steps, and coordinate execution with stakeholders across GMD departments and functions.
- Support client franchise development plans between sales and trading. Execute trading actions to reach client franchise development targets; identify and list future development opportunities (product catalogue evolution, distribution through the salesforce); produce analysis or one-shot reports based on Trading Comex needs.
- Help improve the trading value chain by developing partnerships with stakeholders and running short taskforces to improve operational efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent; Bachelors in Economics, Finance (Desirable: CFA).
- Experience in Capital markets finance (fixed income & equity derivatives products).
- Desirable: Audit, consulting, risk management.
Required Skills
- Capital markets: fixed income & equity derivatives products.
- Organisation of an investment bank\\\’s markets division: various teams and interactions (sales, trading, structuring, functions).
- Main value chain functions pre/post trade, from pricing & booking to settlement.
