Job Summary: To work as part of the Project Management team in delivering Real Estate activities in relation to the bank’s forthcoming lease event in 2030. In partnership with the Management team, the role will assist with the planning, coordinating, and executing of all phases of the corporate office relocation project and serves as a key point of contact. In so doing ensures the delivery of key tasks objectives while adhering to project objectives timelines, and deliverables.

The ideal candidate brings experience in corporate real estate, project and programme management and reporting.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with facilities, construction, and IT teams, defining scope, goals, milestones, and success metrics with adjustments as needed.
  • Partner with real estate teams, brokers, and legal counsel to evaluate prospective sites, review lease terms, and ensure new premises meet operational and headcount requirements.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end real estate development process, from site acquisition and due diligence through to construction, fitout, and handover.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess target buildings, identifying real estate risks, building constraints, and opportunities for space optimization.
  • Manage base build condition reviews and due diligence exercises to ensure operational compliance.
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and workplace strategists to develop test fit space plans aligned with headcount, workplace model, and real estate strategy.
  • Sequence construction and fitout activities, tracking milestones against the overall relocation schedule and escalating delays that impact the project timeline.
  • Develop the overall relocation strategy and prepare a relocation charter outlining scope, phasing, budget, and stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Lead project coordination meetings and provide regular updates to management and key stakeholders on scope, budget, schedule, and risk.
  • Develop a move communications plan and materials to ensure all employees are informed and operationally prepared.
  • Maintain cross-workstream alignment by managing project interdependencies, ensuring all teams are sequenced and coordinated to deliver on time and within budget.

Candidate Criteria:

  • Minimal education level: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent.
  • Academic qualification / Speciality: Educated to graduate level or RICS accreditation / design or construction management qualification.
  • Experience Required: Project Management, Real Estate management, Ability to problem solve and understand commercial leasing / procurement activities, Financial and Budget management.
  • Skill Set: Intermediate user of MS Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint - W365 and AI tools, Knowledge of JCT contracts, leasing agreements, and development agreements, Knowledge of planning regulations, building codes, permits, and occupancy compliance requirement, Project & Programme Management – Prince 2, Commercial & Financial Acumen, Stakeholder & Communication Skills, Good written and oral presentation skills, Defining and understanding project goals and requirements in Real Estate, Good interpersonal skills, Able to multitask – Well organised and able to prioritise key tasks.
