Job Summary: To have day-to-day responsibility for the running of the GIT IT Reporting within Finance. This role encompasses all management and budget reporting of IT, including analysis by project. The IT accountant will be expected to be actively involved, on a hands-on basis, in the day-to-day work of IT accounting liaising regularly with the CIO Office, Head of IT and the various project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Costs reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, with commentaries both by nature of expenses and by project for IT.
- Assist in the budget/forecast process and ensure the successful completion of the IT annual and monthly process.
- Prepare the recharges of the Branch (IGO): accruals for recharges from/to other units in respect of IT.
- Prepare the GIT monthly reforecast & ad hoc IT reports.
- Run the sequence of allocation to help produce the P&L of the Branch for IT.
- Maintenance of Business structure in Oracle G/L and Tagetik (local management reporting tool).
- Maintenance of Cost Allocation keys (by project code/analysis code as is), documenting methodology and origin.
- Preparation and submission of the CARMEN GIT package.
- Participating in the budget/forecast process.
- Monitoring and preparing costs accruals pre-month-end to minimise post month-end adjustments.
- Ensuring that cost recharges are in accordance with budget or SLA guidelines and communicating the recharges to General Accounting.
- Providing summaries of costs by project code (project analysis code).
- Ensuring prompt transmission of monthly cost summaries to senior management in IT and Finance.
- Documenting procedures for all aspects of the job.
- Participating in the implementation of IT/Finance related projects.
