Job Summary: Responsible for trading within authorised trading limits on the IRD Linear EM Trading desk, i.e. the risk parameters and designated currency and product limits. In order to maximise revenues within pre-established limits and objectives. Trades are predominantly in PLN, CZK, HUF, RON, ZAR, TRY, ILS, MXN but the trader will be expected to trade our other books in support if required. Products will include FX and linear Interest Rate Derivatives.
Mandate: Ensure strict compliance with the mandate attributed to the desk. Sign the mandate in the MRL tool according to the procedure currently in place with the Bank. In conjunction with the Head of Linear FX and Emerging Market Rates Trading for Europe, establish overall risk parameters. Manage and hedge the overall risk of the Linear FX and Rates Trading portfolio on an intra and inter day basis. Ensure adherence with regard to position and risk limits. Ensure adherence to the overall risk limits, including both credit and market risk, as set for Linear FX and Emerging Market Rates Trading Europe. Ensure clear and where relevant documented delegation of these limits across the various trading books as appropriate. Ensure adequate systems and information flow to allow monitoring and management of these risks. Ensure that other categories of risk to which the Company is exposed (e.g. legal, operational, and reputational risk) are identified to the extent possible within the trading function. Such risks should then be delegated, documented and managed as appropriate within acceptable levels. Maintain such risks within the risk limits delegated by Market Risk together with any additional limits imposed by Linear FX and Emerging Market Rates Trading Europe.

Candidate criteria:
- Minimal education level: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent.
- Academic qualification / Speciality: Degree, preferably in a Mathematical / Scientific area, or A-levels followed by appropriate market relevant working experience.
- Experience: Experience in financial products related trading/risk management activities. Experience in trading and risk managing a trading book, where applicable.
- Required skills: ESSENTIAL Team oriented. Excellent communication skills and able to coordinate effectively with other Senior Managers, Sales, Structurers and Quants. Ability to think quickly, make decisions using good judgement and prioritise in busy trading situations. Ability to remain calm under pressure. DESIRABLE Competent in a second language.
- Technical skills required: IT literate. Thorough knowledge of financial derivatives including market liquidity (ability to enter or exit a position) and volatility (magnitude/ speed of price change), pricing and trading/hedging strategies. Strong numerical, analytical and spreadsheet skills.
