Job Summary: We are seeking a highly capable Syndicated Loans Closer to join our EMEA Loan Trading team in London. This is a critical execution role within a fast-paced secondary loans environment, offering exposure to complex transactions, cross-border stakeholders, and high-value deal flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the closing and settlement of secondary loan trades, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
  • Review finance documentation and prepare, validate and execute all required transfer documentation, engaging legal counsel where appropriate.
  • Liaise with lenders, agent banks, borrowers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of trade settlements.
  • Ensure transferability conditions, legal requirements and KYC obligations are fully satisfied prior to closing.
  • Partner with Operations to confirm accurate cash flows, fee payments and settlements.
  • Maintain accurate trade records across systems including ClearPar and Loantrak.
  • Manage documentation, audit trails and ongoing requirements such as amendments, waivers and lender communications.

Candidate Criteria:
  • Minimal education level: High school / Secondary school / A levels / AS levels / IB
  • Academic qualification / Speciality: Educated to A level grade (or equivalent), a degree within a relevant discipline would be seen as advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven experience in loan closing and secondary loan trading environments. Demonstrated ability to interpret and navigate complex finance documentation. Solid understanding of agent bank practices, settlement mechanics, and KYC requirements.
  • Required skills: Ability to manage high volumes of transactions with precision and minimal supervision. Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across front office, legal and operations teams.
  • Technical skills required: Strong working knowledge of ClearPar and syndicated loan processes.
