Crédit Agricole CIB is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Officer to manage and optimise technology sourcing strategies for its London operations. This VP-level role sits at the heart of the bank's procurement function, responsible for driving value through strategic vendor management, contract negotiation and regulatory compliance, while supporting the bank's broader digital transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end IT procurement across software, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity, data centres and networking
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies and roadmaps in conjunction with business leads, aligned to the bank's objectives and risk appetite
- Negotiate contracts with technology vendors, securing optimal commercial terms with appropriate risk protections in line with bank policy
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives and identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency gains across the IT category
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements including FCA, PRA, DORA and EBA guidelines
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, Risk and Information Security teams on vendor due diligence and onboarding
- Accurately present detailed financial data and procurement analysis to senior and diverse audiences
- Attend governance meetings and committees as required, and support the CPO with committee documentation and inputs
- Communicate procurement policy and best practices across the organisation
Person Specification
- Proven IT procurement experience within a regulated financial services or banking environment
- Strong track record in contract negotiation — both commercial and regulatory (DORA, EBA, GDPR remediation)
- Experience running end-to-end RFX processes for technology teams
- Exposure to IT subcategories including infrastructure (on-premise, cloud, networks), software (SaaS, on-premise, development) and cybersecurity
- Proficiency with industry-standard Procure-to-Pay or Source-to-Contract platforms
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes and operations
- Strong knowledge of commercial law and supplier agreement best practices
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to varied audiences
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organisation
- CIPS qualification or comparable procurement certification
- Experience with low latency trading infrastructure, including point-to-point networking across international geographies
- Familiarity with the Ivalua procurement platform
