The Credit Business Manager will support the Global Head of Credit Trading in driving strategic growth and operational excellence across Secondary Credit trading desks within the Global Markets Division. This remit includes the strategic expansion of the trading activities for the desks of Secondary Credit, leading priority initiatives for product development, new products, new platforms, IT enhancements; supporting commercial franchise development plans, eg sales trading efforts across products, segments, geographies; acting as product owner in the Bonds Filiere and its ecosystem of partner functions, notably for technology production and projects but also with Risks, Compliance, Ops; maintaining satisfactory 1st line of defence governance; follow up and reporting on the activity and results; assisting traders in their day-to-day, organising the Product Line Comex and associated similar governance meetings; keeping up to date the policies & procedures of the desk; analysing incidents and putting in place remediations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as business manager of the Credit Trading Product Line and Bonds Filiere for the Credit asset.
  • The Credit BM is in charge of the governance of the Product Line, including its Comex, OpCo and IT Steerco.
  • The BM maintains the operational procedure corpus of the desk and supervises 1st line of defence processes and controls of the desk.
  • The BM services the Credit Global Head and helps with traders daily needs.
  • The BM is either in charge or supervising various follow-ups of the activity and results, and associated comments and reportings to the ecosystem.
  • The BM investigates operational incidents, proposes action plans and implements them.
  • The Credit BM is the main point of contact for the ecosystem of partner functions of Credit, as well as representing the Global Head of Credit Trading whenever necessary.

Lead priority initiatives to develop the Credit franchise and its product scope:

  • The Credit BM leads priority initiatives for product development with Quants, Risks, IT, Ops.
  • The BM is in charge of leading platform onboarding and more generally of the efficient development of the Credit eBusiness and eTrading ecosystem, liaising between eBiz teams and IT, prioritising, executing onboarding plans.
  • The BM interacts with sales, structuring, other departments to support and represent the Credit trading in commercial franchise development projects, efforts to grow the franchise across products, segments, geographies.

Act as Product Owner for Credit product in the Bonds Filiere:

  • The Credit BM acts as product owner in the Bonds Filiere and its ecosystem of partner functions, notably for technology production and projects, and also with Risks, Compliance, Ops.

Candidate criteria:

  • Minimal education level: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
  • Academic qualification / Speciality: Economics, Finance
  • Experience: Essential - Capital markets finance; Desirable - Trading, Assistant trading, Sales, assistant sales, Structuring, Capital markets Middle Office, Audit, Consulting, market risk management, capital markets IT project management.

Required skills:

  • Skills & Knowledge: Capital markets: fixed income products; Organisation of an investment bank’s markets division: various teams and interactions sales, trading, structuring, functions; Main value chain functions pre/post trade, from pricing & booking to settlement; IT project management.

Competencies required:

  • Capacity to work hard on multiple parallel topics.
