We are seeking a Technical/Solution Architect contractor to work with one of our Financial Services clients. The role demands oversight of architecture across client business divisions, ensuring decisions align with strategic directions and deliver value for money. Furthermore, it involves quality assurance of technical designs and architectural deliverables. This role is for a 12 month Inside IR35 contract paying a rate of £550-600 p/d.
Key responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive architectural artefacts to support end-to-end architect solutions, ensuring alignment with standards and considerations of risks, costs, benefits, and dependencies.
- Provide guidance to project teams during implementation, managing technical dependencies and resolving project continuity issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Digital and Data Strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies.
- Collaborate on divisional roadmaps, advising on change scope, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Work with product groups and enterprise functions to set architecture standards, resolve product issues, and ensure strategic adherence.
- Review external and internal artefacts, ensuring solutions satisfy all business and non-functional requirements.
- Identify innovation opportunities and recommend designs to drive technological advancements.
- Engage with business and security stakeholders to assess capabilities and document future architectural directions.
- Monitor technology trends to forecast opportunities for strategic exploitation.
Role requirements:
- Prior experience as a Technical/Solution Architect overseeing product and system designs across multiple domains.
- Familiarity with the complete project lifecycle in varied technological environments.
- Expertise in architectural communication, documentation, and strategy fulfillment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency with digital and data platform solution designs, specifically with AWS and key platforms like Salesforce, O365, and SharePoint.
- Understanding commercial aspects including solution costing and procurement.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying and managing technical interdependencies.
- Certification such as BCS EA, experience with methodologies like TOGAF, and familiarity with UML.
- An ability to innovate within architectural frameworks and contribute to enterprise strategy.
