- Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of robust data and AI platforms that support client strategic goals.
- Oversee the integration of Machine Learning & Generative AI technologies, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
- Drive the implementation and industrialisation of Machine Learning & Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities using technologies such as GPT-4, BERT, and T5.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data and AI strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and guide a team of data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Lead the implementation of generative AI architectures and Proof of Concepts (Po Cs) at client sites, demonstrating the value and potential of AI-driven solutions.
- Wider Responsibilities
- Define and implement platform architectures for cloud-native Paa S and Saa S applications with a focus on data, analytics & AI.
- Ensure seamless data flow across microservices and API-driven architectures.
- Establish best practices for real‑time and batch processing in hybrid cloud environments.
- Lead the implementation of streaming technologies (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hub) for real‑time data ingestion.
- Implement robust data management & governance strategies for long‑term sustainability.
- Advise clients on data platform & analytics modernization strategies.
- Work closely with business, engineering, and policy teams to align solutions with organisational goals.
- Provide guidance on best practices for cloud‑native data & analytics platforms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (8+ years) in data architecture and AI platform design.
- Expertise in Machine Learning & Generative AI technologies and their application in data platforms.
- Familiarity with LLM implementation and industrialisation, including technologies such as GPT‑4, BERT, and T5.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
- Strong knowledge of advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques.
- Strong understanding of cloud‑centric approaches to solution design & architecture.
- Preferred Experience
- Experience in leading solution implementations for medium to large teams.
- Public sector experience preferred (government, healthcare, or regulated industries).
- Strong understanding of core data management concepts over the full data lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern approaches to IT & infrastructure delivery.
- Technical Qualifications
- Certified architect in a cloud‑based platform (AWS, Azure, GCP); desired data / AI specialism.
- Certified in leading modern data warehouse / AI ecosystems (Big Query, Redshift, Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks).
