We recognise that great talent comes in many forms and welcome conversations about part-time or flexible working arrangements for this role. Are you passionate about developing a career in technology? Does the idea of working for different clients on complex business-critical IT projects excite you? At Credera, we define, design, implement and migrate to public, private and hybrid Cloud for our clients. We help identify and avoid common misconceptions and maximise the benefits of a cloud transformation programme.

Our Cloud Architects identify, design and implement the tools clients need to best host their IT infrastructure and deliver value. Combining delivery best practices with the latest technologies, we help solve complex business challenges. Typically, our technical cloud work contains significant elements of defining, designing and building cloud architectures, security solutions and cloud platforms as well as having a solid understanding of infrastructure and on-prem technologies.

For our technical consultants, we expect a significant level of hands-on experience with cloud/infrastructure related technologies and a desire to maintain a balance between technical and business skills as they grow their careers within the firm. Based out of any of our UK offices, this is a permanent role within our Cloud Function. At Credera, we operate a flexible hybrid working model. This requires 3 days per week working onsite - either at client site (as required) or in your local Credera office (London, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle). We value collaboration and client impact, so our hybrid model is designed to strike a balance between flexibility, in-person connection, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the business case and strategy for AWS Cloud solutions;
  • Build a deep understanding of a client’s business and cloud maturity, determining the appropriate criteria for successful use of the cloud and an approach for achieving it;
  • Cloud engineering and DevOps transformation;
  • Set up teams with the right skill-sets, tools and practices to get the best out of cloud technology;
  • Staying up to date through further learning, attendance at events and monitoring market trends and developments;

Key Attributes:

  • Integrity, Intelligence, Personal Touch, Tenacity and Pragmatism;
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and intellectual strength;
  • Flexibility to travel to, and work in, other locations;
  • Strong communication, presentation and business writing skills;

You have demonstrable knowledge and experience in at least one of the three fields:

  • Cloud strategy and transformation;
  • Cloud architecture and engineering.

You also have a broad knowledge of the major cloud vendors with deep knowledge of AWS, and an understanding of the high-level levers for cost-effective cloud delivery. You have consulting knowledge and experience:

  • Experience of working in a client-facing capacity as part of a consulting team (essential).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of delivering business value to clients through IT.
  • You have a certification in one of the major cloud vendors (ideally AWS).
  • Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD/automation tooling (Jenkins, Ansible).

Along with a great company culture, Credera provides an exceptional compensation package including a competitive salary (£80,000-100,000) and a comprehensive benefits plan. Credera is a global consulting firm that combines transformational consulting capabilities, deep industry knowledge, and AI and technology expertise to deliver valuable customer experiences and accelerated growth across a broad range of industries worldwide. As a values-led organisation, our mission is to make an extraordinary impact on our clients, our people, and our community.

How to prepare for a job interview at Credera

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
