We know great talent comes in many forms - including people returning from a career break. If you’re looking for part-time hours, flexible working, or a supportive transition back into your career, we’d love to explore how we can make this role work for you.

At Credera, we are passionate about helping clients deliver complex, business-critical IT transformation projects. Our clients are some of the biggest names in industry and our projects are every bit as challenging as you’d find in any large consulting firm. As a Principal Consultant, you will be accountable for the successful delivery and business outcomes of complex transformation programmes. You will set the strategic direction for delivery, provide senior leadership to joint Credera–client teams, and operate as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Transformation consultants work with Credera clients and colleagues, leveraging technology to translate business ambition and intent into effective change.
  • Help clients achieve their goals through a combination of advice and hands-on delivery.
  • Lead or be intrinsic to joint client teams focused on achieving successful delivery and transformation.
  • Contribute to the Programme Leadership capability within Credera, deepening the strength of our collective business transformation knowledge, developing resources, and helping drive our growth through client extensions and bid support.

Hours:

Based out of any of our UK offices, this is a permanent role within our Management Consulting Function. At Credera, we operate a flexible hybrid working model. This requires 3 days per week working onsite - either at client site (as required) or in your local Credera office (London, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle). We value collaboration and client impact, so our hybrid model is designed to strike a balance between flexibility, in-person connection, and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. We are also open to conversations around flexible or part-time arrangements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong business competence with a pragmatic approach to delivering complex solutions.
  • Combination of project and programme management, client management, business development, and hands-on transformation skills.
  • Representing Credera as a senior leader, building trusted relationships, demonstrating credibility, and ensuring Credera’s standards, ways of working and values are upheld.
  • Working within large, or leading, consulting teams to deliver agreed scope.
  • Managing transformation resources effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Shape complex transformation strategies, using structured methods and data-driven insight to analyse processes, identify opportunities, and design practical and scalable change solutions.
  • Identifying issues and risks, and pro-actively problem solving and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with technology, engineering and architecture teams to maximise business value from technology-enabled transformation.
  • Lead, coach and develop people, providing regular guidance, mentoring and performance feedback.
  • Championing continuous improvement and innovation, refining delivery practices, optimising team efficiency, and introducing approaches that improve client outcomes.

Who you are:

  • An experienced transformation leader with a proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder programmes.
  • Significant management consultancy experience or transferrable industry experience.
  • High degree of competency in business transformation delivery.
  • Perceptive, personable, culturally sensitive, and demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • A strong communicator who brings clarity, structure and pragmatism to challenging delivery and change environments.
  • A collaborative leader invested in growth—of people, of the practice, and of the wider organisation.
  • Commercially astute, with experience identifying growth opportunities and supporting bids.
  • Evidence of being proactively involved in building out business transformation capability within an organisation.
  • Breadth of sector expertise such as across Energy, Utilities, Financial Services, Commercial and Public Sector will be a big advantage.

This is what you get in return:
