As a Backend Engineer, youâll architect and scale the systems that fuel our AI productsâpowering everything from LLM agents to customer intelligence dashboards. Youâll work with large datasets, highâvelocity event pipelines, and a modern stack including GraphQL, BigQuery, JavaScript, and Python.
What Youâll Do
- Design, build, and optimize GraphQL APIs that power real-time, dataârich interfaces.
- Work across our data platformâingesting, transforming, and querying massive datasets (primarily in BigQuery).
- Develop backend systems in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) with Python components as needed.
- Partner closely with frontend, AI, and product teams to support weekly sprint cycles and deliver new features quickly.
- Build infrastructure for data ingestion, enrichment, and delivery across internal and customer-facing tools.
- Optimize performance and scalability of our backend systems as the platform evolves.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions and shape our engineering best practices.

What Weâre Looking For
- 5+ years of backend development experience, ideally in fast-paced product environments.
- Proficiency in GraphQL, BigQuery, and JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js).
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured dataâyou know how to make data useful and fast.
- Experience building APIs and services that are performant, secure, and scalable.
- Familiarity with Pythonâespecially for data manipulation or integration tasks.
- Strong collaboration skills and a bias for shipping.
- Startup mindsetâproactive, resourceful, and thrives in ambiguity.
Bonus Points
- Experience integrating with LLM or agent-based systems.
- Built systems for sales intelligence, customer data platforms, or internal tools.
