Main Purpose:

  • To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
  • To fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to supervise staff on a day-to-day basis.
  • To manage the day-to-day activities of the setting.
  • To ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
  • To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
  • To manage other staff within the nursery setting.
  • To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Director.

Responsibilities:

  • The post holder is responsible to the Directors for their duties, responsibilities and teaching tasks.
  • The post holder undertakes responsibility for leading and supervising the day-to-day running of the Nursery.
