Do you have a passion for working with children in early years? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our amazing team. Creche n Co Ltd is a small group of nurseries looking for enthusiastic, qualified practitioners to join our team.
Purpose of the Role
- To take part in delivering the highest standards of care throughout the nurseries as required.
- Be a key person as appropriate, having responsibility for overall child's welfare and parent partnerships.
- Observe each child's progress, report on achievements and assist in maintaining records of each child's day to day activities and development.
- Lead the supervision of children at play (indoors and outdoors) and at mealtimes.
- Lead the delivery of the EYFS framework.
- Contribute towards the planning and development of enabling environments where children initiate play.
- Complete daily checklists as required, such as room opening and closing, outdoor, bathroom and kitchen checklists.
- Demonstrate a commitment to understanding how children develop.
- Undertake domestic jobs within the Nurseries, such as preparation of snacks, cleaning of equipment and rooms.
- Undertake a shared responsibility for Health, Safety and cleanliness throughout the Nurseries.
- Be familiar with all emergency and security procedures, e.g. fire procedures, routines for dropping off and collecting children and marking the register.
- Carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your manager.
Person Specification
- Qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years.
- A relevant first aid certificate or be willing to obtain within the first 3 months.
- Experience of working with children aged 0-5.
- Experience of providing personal care to children and recognising their individual needs.
- Experience of working in line with the EYFS framework and requirements.
- Experience of record keeping, planning and report writing.
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and children's development.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children obligations.
- Ability to communicate and engage effectively with children, families, carers, colleagues.
- Flexibility to travel to various nursery settings on a regular basis and at short notice.
- Be approachable, caring and have a passion for working with children.
- Be a reliable member of the team, working co-operatively and with flexibility.
- Be prepared to undertake professional development as required.
- Is smart in personal appearance.
