We're rebuilding the veterinary experience from the ground up, making access to care seamless, joyful, and genuinely personal for every pet and their owner. Our clinics combine beautiful design with first-class clinical care, creating spaces that vet teams, clients, and pets actually want to be in.
Our purpose is simple: healthier and happier pets and vets. That means competitive pay, sensible caseloads, real career development, and a culture where people are properly supported to do their best work. We're building the vet group of the future, and if that excites you, we'd love to hear from you.
As Practice Manager, you'll take full ownership of the non-clinical side of the St Albans clinic, the operations, the finances, the team, and increasingly, the relationships that make this practice a fixture of the local area.
You'll sit on the Clinic Leadership Team alongside the Clinical Director and Head Nurse, and you'll be the person who makes sure that while our vets and nurses are looking after patients, everything else runs seamlessly around them.
This is a hands-on, commercially minded role for someone who loves solving problems, building relationships, and creating a workplace people are proud to be part of.
In St Albans specifically, we're looking for someone who can pick up the local relationships already built with the community, local businesses, and pet owners, and keep growing the clinic's profile in an area with real character and a loyal, engaged pet-owning population.
You don't need to have worked in veterinary before, but you do need to be an operationally strong, commercially minded leader with a track record of managing people and budgets β ideally in a healthcare, hospitality, or service-led business. Financial literacy (P&L, budgeting) and solid HR fundamentals (performance management, conflict resolution) are essential.
What matters most for this particular role: you know St Albans, or you're genuinely excited to get to know it properly - its people, its rhythm, and what makes a local business feel like part of the community rather than just a shopfront on the street. If you've got a network here already, or a knack for building one quickly, even better!
