Great opportunity to join our Creative Technology Vision & Media team, as a Prep Supervisor. You will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day prep, return and care of the department and related equipment in our warehouse and offering some remote support for these systems on site.
The ability to work as part of the wider team, with other departments, and prioritise tasks are paramount to the role. The skills and expertise you will learn in the role are valuable to other departments at Creative Technology and you can expect to find times where you are required to work with these other teams developing your own knowledge and teamwork.
Previous experience of live events, video and media systems is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Project
- Planning and allocating prep tasks to appropriate staff to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the high standards expected.
- Overseeing with the prep and testing of all projects leaving the Vision & Media department.
- Configuration of vision and media equipment to ensure robust testing and inter system connectivity.
- Monitoring of packing prepped equipment into cases, ensuring they will not be damaged in transit and completing QC on prepped system prior to shipping.
- Liaising with Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure projects are correctly spec’d, highlight shortages or alternatives as early as possible to avoid last minute changes or sub-hires.
- Assisting with trouble shooting and technical support during prep, escalating the requirement quickly and effectively when necessary.
Department
- Check in, check out and maintenance of the departments’ rental stock.
- Assisting the department to make sure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
- Sharing responsibility for maintaining tidy, efficient prep and warehouse areas.
- Monitoring and reporting of losses and damages to all departmental equipment from projects.
Other Responsibilities
- Proactively engages with the regular meetings held to plan the workload, demonstrating excellent forward planning skills and insights.
- Constantly working to improve your knowledge of our equipment and the technology that drives it.
- Complete all training required by the company.
- Mentoring of trainee and apprentice staff within the department
- Uphold the high standards or delivery and professionalism expected by Creative Technology and our clients.
- Adhere to all company policies and processes.
- Assist other teams with the overall delivery of projects and proactively find these opportunities when time permits.
- Awareness of previous and upcoming equipment requirements with a view to speed up the preparation process.
