Creative Technology UK have an exciting new opportunity for an Audio Prep Technician to join the team in Crawley! Audio fills an integral part of our live events and corporate hospitality industry delivering high-end, class leading PA systems, front of house control systems and distribution packages. This also includes high end digital Radiomic RF systems, complete stage monitoring systems and providing musicians and/or casts with a vast range of quality Microphones to live event stages (Festivals) Theatre houses and including the corporate entertainment sector.
You will be required to assist in the configuration and testing of PA systems both large and small required by our projects, delivering to the robust standards expected by Creative Technology and our clients. As a Prep Technician in the Audio department, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and maintenance of sound equipment in our warehouse and supporting in-house studio & production spaces.
The role is based solely in the Crawley warehouse between the hours of 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Out of hours and weekend working may occasionally be required during busy periods also leading to covering our emergency call out rota for live events. The ability to work as part of the wider prep team and other departments and prioritise tasks are paramount to the role of an Audio Prep Technician. As you become more experienced with the equipment, the opportunities for on-site installation and operation roles of the systems you prep and test could be available to you.
Responsibilities:
- Building and configuring audio PA systems including Radiomics, playback machines etc.
- Coordinating hire stock to ensure bookings are delivered on time.
- Configuring mixing consoles and control equipment to ensure robust connectivity.
- Thorough testing of all systems that are prepared for use on site.
- Packing prepped equipment into cases, ensuring they will not be damaged in transit and contain everything required to get the equipment working on site.
- Preparing, maintaining, servicing and fault finding.
- Ensuring all department equipment is maintained to a high standard ahead of emergency hires.
