You will collaborate closely with other teams and bring together cross‑functional inputs to produce well‑structured proposals, pricing models, and commercial narratives that support NEP’s strategic goals. This role plays a key part in shaping NEP’s commercial offering and supporting business growth across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of high‑quality proposals, tenders, and RFP/RFI submissions across NEP UK.
  • Own the full lifecycle of proposal management: planning, storyboarding, content creation, review cycles, approvals, and submission.
  • Develop compelling commercial narratives that clearly communicate NEP UK’s value proposition, technical capabilities, and service excellence.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional style across all submissions, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with NEP brand and commercial strategy.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, engineering, operations, logistics, and the extended leadership teams to gather information, data, and technical inputs.
  • Facilitate bid meetings, progress reviews, and solution development workshops.
  • Ensure proposals accurately reflect the operational deliverables, technical requirements, and resource planning across the business.
  • Support the Commercial Manager on commercial modelling, pricing structures, and contract assumptions.
  • Support the Commercial team in shaping commercial frameworks, pricing methodologies, and client engagement approaches.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of commercial playbooks, bid templates, and value messaging.
  • Analyse historic proposals, performance metrics, win/loss ratios, and market trends to inform future bid strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance NEP UK’s commercial competitiveness and differentiation.

Quality Assurance & Governance

  • Ensure proposals are compliant with internal commercial, legal, operational, and financial guidelines.
  • Maintain a library of standard content, case studies, credentials, and commercial information.
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholders to manage version control, quality checks, and sign‑off processes.
  • Ensure a well‑organised archive of past proposals, pricing models, and client documentation.
  • Mentor and guide colleagues who contribute to bid preparation, content writing, or commercial modelling.
  • Champion best practice in proposal writing, commercial storytelling, and internal collaboration.
  • Support continuous improvement of tools, processes, and documentation across the Commercial function.

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in proposals, bids, tender management, commercial development, or solution selling.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure compelling proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate technical and operational information into clear, persuasive content.
  • Experience managing complex submissions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills.
  • Good financial awareness and ability to interpret commercial models.

Preferred

  • Experience in broadcast, media, live events, technology, or engineering‑based industries.
  • Experience building or leading a commercial proposals function.
  • Familiarity with commercial frameworks such as rate cards, service models, and contract structures.
  • Experience with CRM or proposal automation tools (Salesforce).

Interests and Background

  • Collaborative: You bring teams together and build trusted relationships.
  • Articulate: You communicate complex ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Detail‑driven: You take pride in accuracy and presentation.
  • Commercially minded: You understand value, margin, and business impact.
  • Organised: You manage multiple moving parts and deliver on time.
  • Creative: You craft compelling narratives and find ways to stand out.
  • Ethical and professional: You treat sensitive information with discretion.
