This is a strong opportunity for someone with experience in trusts or estates who wants to build deeper technical expertise within one of the larger specialist Trust & Estate teams in the mid-tier.
You would join an established team of, working across a substantial and varied client base that includes more than trusts, estates, private charities, individuals and families, as well as clients requiring family office-style administrative support.
The work is broad. You will manage your own portfolio and gain exposure to trusts holding private company shares, significant property and investment assets, alongside deceased estates and more complex family structures.
Importantly, the role is not purely compliance focused. Alongside trust tax returns and annual accounts, you will have the opportunity to become involved in estate administration, inheritance tax matters and wider Trust & Estate advisory work.
You will also have regular contact with clients and work closely with solicitors, investment managers, HMRC and other professional advisers, giving you plenty of opportunity to develop both technically and commercially.
Your work will include
Preparing trust tax returns and annual trust accounts
Managing a portfolio of trust and estate clients
Supporting estate administration and estate tax reporting
Preparing inheritance tax calculations
Assisting with Trust & Estate advisory projects
Liaising directly with clients and external advisers
Supporting fee preparation and wider management of the portfolio
Working alongside other specialist teams across the firm
What they can offer you
They can offer excellent long-term prospects, ongoing technical training and full support towards further professional study, including ATT, CTA or STEP. As your experience develops, there is scope to take on greater responsibility, broaden your advisory exposure and progress within an established and growing Trust & Estate team.
